Selection Criteria

  • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate senior pursuing a STEM degree or hold a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Must not be a current K-12 teacher seeking new certification or recertification.
  • Must agree to pursue the Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics Degree Program.
  • Must agree to teach mathematics in a high-need school district for two years for each year of receiving funds from the Robert Noyce Scholarship.
  • Must pass the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) Basic Skills Test or meet the exemption requirements (a minimum score of 1000 on the SAT, 43 on the ACT, or 1030 on the GRE, for the combined verbal and mathematics sections). For more information about GACE visit
  • Must have a minimum 2.6 or higher college GPA.
  • Must complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); go to to file the FAFSA electronically.
  • Must meet the CAU graduate school admission requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident alien.
